The 41st Book Fair in Granada has returned this spring from the 21st to the 30th of April.
Last Friday, April 21st, the forty-first edition of the Book Fair in Granada was inaugurated. The opening ceremony was held at the Kiosco de la Música in Paseo del Salón with the intervention of the Mayor of the City of Granada, Francisco Cuenca. Also Andrea Edel, Director of Culture of the City of Heidelberg (UNESCO city) was invited to the Fair… and iNMSOL was there! We would like to inform you about the program.
Tto celebrate the event and its protagonist, the book, this year, Granada has chosen the motto “An image, a thousand words”, trying to pay a tribute to those genres in which literature and illustration go hand-in-hand, matching in the foreground both disciplines, because sometimes the image and the word complement each other, as in literature. There will be a cycle dedicated to this theme.
The exhibitors of the FLG will be placed from the Fuente de las batallas and extend through the Carrera de la Virgen until Fuente de las Granadas. At this link, you can find the detailed map of the position of each exhibitor.
In this edition will have more than 350 activities, including:
- Book presentations
- Round tables
- Readings
- Stage activities
- Workshops
- School projects
- Violet readings to promote gender equality and scientific dissemination events
- And more!
It is important to mention that the Book Fair, in addition to a literary festival, is above all the opportunity for the meeting of authors. They will share moments with the citizens of Granada, reading with them and signing their books.
The programme is very extensive and the activities will take place until Sunday 30 April. You can check them all here.
