Yesterday, a group of students participated in a tour whose goal was to know an old Spanish Christmas tradition, el belén (Nativity scene). It was organized by Inmsol and guided by our teacher Juan Luis. We visited the following belenes: Casa de los Pisa at Calle Convalecencia, Convento de las Carmelitas Descalzas at Plaza San Juan de la Cruz and Ayuntamiento (City Hall) at Plaza del Carmen where we took a photo with the Royal Postman (the man in charge of recollecting the letters that Spanish children send each Christmas to The Three Wise Men). A nice walk around the city, illuminated these days in a magnificent way, in which we could learn and practice Spanish as well as living Spanish traditions in a direct way.
