This summer Granada offers to its dwellers and tourists interesting and enriching activities, which will help you face the heat.
In the first place, iNMSOL recommends you to participate to the famous Summer Cinema, which will take place in July and August, and there will be several places where you can watch a movie under the stars.
With Fundación CajaGranada, every Wednesday at Plaza de las Culturas from July to September at 10pm there are movies you can’t miss, such as Bohemian Rhapsody, The Shape of Water and A Star is Born. The movies are free there as well as in Carmen de la Victoria and in the courtyard of Corrala de Santiago in V.O.S.E. (However, in Corrala de Santiago the room is limited, therefore it is necessary to collect the invitations).
Other places are paid, but it is worth going for a good movie. We are talking about the Interpretive Museum of the Sacromonte Caves, where for only € 4 titles like Sofia, The Miseducation of Cameron Post and Border are projected.

Another essential activity, especially for visitors who only have a few days to discover the suggestive Granada tradition, is the flamenco show called Lorca y la pasión. Un mar de sueños and directed by Marina Heredia and Rosario Pardo.
The show consists of four different scenarios related to each other, focusing on female love and renewing works by Federico García Lorca such as El Público, La Casa de Bernarda Alba, Así que pasen cinco años and Mariana Pineda.
This order alternates the works of the “impossible theater” of Lorca with the most popular and accessible to the public.

Finally, this month also celebrates the 16th edition of the Festival Extension of the International Music and Dance Festival of Granada, until July 12.
The performances and music shows of FEX will take place in open spaces and in significant buildings of both the capital and the province of Granada. Among the activities offered we can highlight the dance show “Prisma Criatura“, which takes place at Teatro Alhambra today at 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm, and on Wednesday at 9:00 pm. Another FEX event that we recommend is the projection of zarzuela at Teatro Real, entitled “Luisa Fernanda“, on calle Joaquina Eguaras on Wednesday, July 10 at 9:30 p.m.
