New tourist train around Granada city centre

The authorised company of the service Julià has decided to start earlier the opening, and after numerous tests Julià the has achieved the approval! But now comes the hardest part: the acceptance of the users.
The train that will connect the Alhambra with the city centre, will cross today after a week of different test in which the technicians of Julià have considered that everything is ready to go. This was the project and today the little train will go over few city routes carrying the tourist, because as they say, the train is ready to circulate.
Not even an error has been found, nor in the train’s structure -the ticket machine, the doors or the audio guides.. – not even in the streets of the tour, as they report “the tour was with no problems..”
This last opinion has been very discussed among the citizens, that yesterday during the tests, took the train and started complaining about the possibility of the train to cross over different sections, such as the San Jerónimo’s corner with the Romanilla’s square..
Nevertheless everything has its supporters and detractors, but what it’s sure is that this ambitious and awaited project is yet a reality in Granada and just from Monday for those who want to try this new experience, there will be the possibility to get on it and crossing from the monument nazarí through the numerous streets of immense beauty, for example the ones of the Albaicín neighborhood.
Although this Wednesday it will work from midday, the other days it will count it a daily and nighttime tour, from 9:30 am to 18:30 pm and from 20:30 pm to 23:00 pm respectively.
The daily tour (8.4 km of length), will leave from the Alhambra and will cross over 10 differents stops: son: Cuesta Gomérez, Plaza Nueva, Paseo de los Tristes, Plaza Abad/Mirador de San Nicolás, San Miguel Bajo, Plaza de la Romanilla/Catedral, Calle Alhóndiga, Plaza Mariana Pineda, Calle Molinos/Campo del Príncipe and the door of the hotel Alhambra Palace.
On the other hand the nighttime tour (that will not include the monument nazarí), will start from Plaza Nueva in order to cross: the Paseo de los Tristes, la Placeta de Abad and the San Miguel Bajo with a length of 3.5 .
Regarding the prices, in order to use this train tourists will need to pay 6 euros or 8 if they would like to benefit of the “hop-on” fare, that allows during the day to go up and down of the train as they like.
Children under 8 years old are free while older people (up to 65 years old) will pay only 2 euros.
As claimed even the residents of the Albaicín will be able to to use the mini train for just 1.05 euros (if they buy a special bono-bus and prove that they reside in the zone..).
