A couple of months ago we announced in our blog the winner of the Spanish in a Day contest, organized by Con C de Cine, and in which Instituto Mediterráneo Sol has collaborated directly in their B de Butaca category . We wanted to do an interview with the winner of this contest, so she could tell us her experience. Thanks to this competition and Raissa’s winner video, she has been enjoying a week of Spanish course at our school.
We would like to talk a little bit about Raissa, who has been an exemplary student and the experience with her has been unforgettable for all of us.
A tireless student
Raissa Jesus dos Santos de Lima has traveled from Curitiba, Brazil, exclusively to enjoy her prize at INMSOL. She has made an intensive Spanish course for a week, and has been hosted in a shared flat with other students. Raissa is finishing her studies of Institutional Communication at the Federal University of Parana. She would love to start a university Master in Granada, to complement her studies and to have the chance of living longer in our city. And we do hope so!
She loved the experience in our city: “I really like the city, the climate, the mixture of students from all over the world, it’s awesome!“. During this week she has not stopped for a second. In addition to her Spanish classes in the morning, she participated in our program of weekly activities with other students of INMSOL, and she has been able to practice her Spanish with them: “I have been studying Spanish for 6 years and after arriving to Granada I put into practice my Spanish speaking with my colleagues. No doubt coming to the country is the best way to learn a language. I am a passionate of Spanish, since I was a little girl! And sometimes I find it difficult to combine my studies with the study of Spanish. That’s why my stay in Granada has been of great help. ”
She would love to live in Granada for good
“Spain is wonderful. It has many places to travel, to meet the gastronomy and to have fun,” she says. “Granada is the most beautiful city I have ever seen in my life. It has an amazing culture. If you are reading this, you have to include Granada on your list of places to visit.” After her short -but intense- experience in this city, she is already thinking on coming back! Raissa would like to settle down in Spain, and maybe look for a job in International Communication field.
Delighted with her Spanish course
Raissa has followed one of our intensive Spanish courses, taught by our teacher Mª Angeles Madrigal, and she is delighted with the result!: “If you want to learn Spanish you must be constant and study a lot, but also you have to chose a course that has a good teaching method. At INMSOL teachers are friendly and have an excellent teaching method. I have really enjoyed the classes of culture and activities. These are essential for the absorption of content. On the other hand, it is also recommendable to hear music in Spanish, watching movies and certainly to learn about the culture of the country“.
