On October 12 came into effect a decree of Ministry of Justice on the process of granting of Spanish citizenship by residence.
Now all those that have been educated in Spain and have passed the compulsory second education don´t have pass the DELE and CCSE exam test. It will only be necessary attach to the record the documentation that proves it.
“Las personas que no sepan leer ni escribir o tengan dificultades de aprendizaje podrán solicitar la dispensa de estas pruebas al Ministerio de Justicia que, a la vista de las circunstancias particulares y las pruebas aportadas, resolverá motivadamente. Igualmente, podrá dispensarse de dichas pruebas a los solicitantes que hayan estado escolarizados en España y superado la educación secundaria obligatoria. Ambos extremos deberán acreditarse mediante la oportuna documentación incorporada al expediente.”
