Preparation Method:

Today we’re going to prepare a special dish with snails that, even though it will not satisfy all tastes, is a very tasteful and spicy recipe…

There is a previous preparation to clean the snails that can last more than one day and it consists in leaving the snails in salted water in order to remove all the toxic substances. After that the snails will be ready to cook.

1. Put the snails in cold water at low heat, when the water is about to boil put the high heat and cook for 10 minutes.

2. Put the cloves of garlic and the onion in a pot with olive oil. When they become brown add the minced and strained tomatoes.

3. Fry gently the cut ham, mix the ingredients and add the snails, baked peppers, mint, parsley, nutmeg and thyme.

4. Cover with water and season with salt.

5. In a mortar mash pepper, fennel and fried bread with toasted almonds and pine nuts.

6. Add these ingredients in the pot with the snails. Let it cook for 15 minutes.

7. Serve the snails in a soup bowl with the tasty and spicy soup.
