We attended the FEDELE Annual Convention 2025 in Málaga as a federated center.
The FEDELE Annual Convention 2025 was held in Málaga on February 19 and 20. This event brought together all FEDELE member centers, including iNMSOL.
Get to Know the Federation
FEDELE is the Spanish Federation of Associations of Spanish Schools for Foreigners. It consists of six associations, which encompass around one hundred Spanish language schools.
For the past 25 years, FEDELE’s main goal has been to promote a high standard of quality and professionalism. It also aims to ensure that companies in the Spanish teaching sector in Spain pursue a common objective: to offer a high-quality linguistic and cultural immersion experience to students from all over the world.
2025 Convention
The annual convention serves as a platform to discuss the latest developments and challenges in the language tourism sector at both national and international levels. Among various topics, the annual industry report is shared and analyzed.
Language Tourism Industry Report
During the convention, the 2024 Language Tourism Industry Report was presented. This report highlighted that Andalusian Spanish schools for foreigners:
- Generated an economic impact of over 94.7 million euros in 2024.
- Experienced a 10% increase compared to the previous year.
- Positioned Andalucía as the leading destination in Spain in terms of student numbers, with approximately 63,000 students.
The General Director of Tourism Promotion and Development, Gemma del Corral, participated in the opening of the convention, emphasizing the contribution of these institutions as „ambassadors of Andalusian culture and tourism.” She pointed out that, in addition to promoting the language, these institutions spread the traditions, heritage, and history of the region.
The choice of Málaga as the venue for this edition was particularly significant, as it coincided with FEDELE’s 25th anniversary and recognized the city as the birthplace of the associative spirit of Spanish language schools for foreigners.
