The XXXIV edition of the International Tango Festival of Granada heats up engines! It will be held from 15 to 20 March 2022, coinciding with the centenary of the Cante Jondo Competition of 1922.
It will be a great show and, as Granada Hoy reports, “it is a program that will fill with life and illusion the streets, squares and corners of the city, in which the commitment to the “musical pairing” is consolidated, in the words of the mayor of Granada, Francisco Cuenca.
In fact, it will be an event to celebrate the antiquity and continuity of tango in all its forms; that is the reason why there will be instrumental music, the song with its urban poetry and dance.
In addition, we know that tango is a typical Argentine genre, born of the crossbreeding of cultures. Therefore, during the festival there will also be jazz, flamenco, and classical music and dance. There are many dates in which you can enjoy everything! By the way, don’t hesitate to sign up in advance so you don’t run out of space.
