Organized by the Obra Social CajaGRANADA and the Cultural Centre Memoria de Andalucia, in collaboration with Septimo Vicio and the Department of Audiovisual Arts, the festival begins to reveal its first screenings. Among the first titles confirmed for the first edition, Phantasmagoria performes “Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives” by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, brilliant winner of the Palme d’Or at Cannes. Also from the official selection of Cannes, it will be performed “The pack” of Richard Franck. “Red Nights” Julien Carbon and Laurent Courtiaud. A thriller which mixes fetishistic eroticism with stylish, brutal violence and multireferential, combining at the same time the French polar action film “made in Hong Kong.” Finally, Phantasmagoria 2010 exhibit “Rubber” Quentin Dupieux. Destined to become the cult movie of 2010, “Rubber” is a delirious black comedy as bright as surreal, which brings together the American indie, metalinguistic games and hilarious prankster.
