From September 6th to 14th, the neighborhoods of Sacromonte and Albayzín will host the 1st Nature and Heritage Literature Meeting (LETRA DE NATURALEZA), organized by the Museo Cuevas del Sacromonte and writer Lola Callejón. This pioneering event aims to bring nature literature closer to the public, while promoting environmental awareness and highlighting the heritage value of Granada’s surroundings.
Supported by Fundación Unicaja, the City Council of Granada, the CSIC, the CENEAM, and other institutions, the meeting offers a diverse program combining literature, heritage, and sustainability, positioning Granada as a cultural and environmental reference.
What is Nature Literature?
Nature literature, or nature writing, focuses on the relationship between humans and the natural environment. LETRA DE NATURALEZA provides a space where poetry, essays, narrative, visual language, and scientific outreach converge to reconnect us with nature and the territories we inhabit.
The event also aims to highlight Granada’s natural and cultural heritage through literary and social experiences that foster reflection and environmental awareness.
