“My work is inspired by nature, and I develope issues such as landscape, portrait, still life. I do not ever walk away from the tradition of painting that I use as a guideline. I can evoke Goya, Velasquez, Manet, Van Gogh, Kiefer, Barcelo, et Garouste Music, like most painters who have marked me. Fayoum portraits and Japanese prints too. The techniques I use are very old, like the glacis or chiaroscuro. The accident and unexpected events guide the evolution of the image in the process, always
Seeking an unbalanced representation of the subject. My work is part of an imaginative freedom.
I have also illustrated with engravings of contemporary poetry books. As I’m also a pianist, I create a link between the two languages; both have a strong relationship with the temporary space, a dynamic rhythm can be found both in painting and in music. When I paint, the music played in the shop gives me a soecial energy. Nowadays my inspiration is renewed thanks to my travels to Spain, especially thanks to light and landscapes of Andalucia … “
