Two weeks ago (02/4/2017 – 09/4/2017) we had the pleasure to host a group of italian students from Trento, accompanied by 3 teachers. The students attended an intensive Spanish course and had the opportunity to visit our beautiful city through different excursions and guided tours.
The students arrived on Sunday, so they had some hours to start exploring the city before the classes began. They were hosted in Spanish families, chosen by us with great caution.
On their first day at the school they took their classes and afterwards they walked through Realejo, the Jewish neighbourhood of Granada and one of the most beautiful of the whole city.
On the next day, the continued their tour of the city visiting two of the most renowned places of Granada, Albaicin and Sacromonte. It´s about the Moorish and the Gypsy neighbourhoods that have maintained their culture and lifestyle. So, it is quite appealing visiting them.
On Wednesday there was an after class seminar about the Arabic influence in Granada accompanied with a visit at the Cuarto Real de Santo Domingo.
Nobody can leave Granada without visiting the most emblematic monument of the city and one of the most important of Andalusia, la Alhambra and Generalife. That´s why we had already booked the tickets for the visit for our Italian friends, in order not to miss the opportunity!
They had a day free on Friday so that they could walk through the city, explore the tiny streets and taste the best tapas.
And after the one-day relaxation a trip was waiting the students from Trento. They went to Cordoba for a day, one of the most interesting cities of Andalusia, bearing in mind its history.
On Sunday we said goodbye to our Italian friends.
