Christmas 2018 is getting closer and our city is already in the mood to celebrate it. During these days the city of Alhambra will light up with more than 2.223.453 light bulbs spread across the city centre and barrios.
Lights and surprises
The Council of Granada has decided, together with other nearby cities, to forward the date of this year’s christmas lights switch on to November 30th. The chosen guest to pull the switch will be Estrella Morente, a famous grenadian flamenco singer which will accompany an “astonishing” light show with her voice in Plaza del Carmen at 7:30 pm.
These are some of the new 2018 Christmas Campaign activities presented by the spokeswoman of the Government Ana Muñoz Arquelladas and the councilwoman for Tourism and Trade, Raquel Ruz who declared that this Christmas Granada is going to enjoy a lot of different activities.
This year our city will display a “mysterious” show of lights and sounds and at the moment no one has a clue on how it will be represented. The show will be sponsored by Cervezas Alhambra and will be displayed during all Christmas time twice a day, 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm respectively.
With a 212.382 euros budget, 2.223.453 energy-saving light bulbs spread across the entire city and a 20 metres tall Christmas tree, this grenadian Christmas will be very special!
