Today begins the International Festival of music and dance of Granada, one of the most attractive and representative of the city cultural events. The Festival has its origin in the symphonic concerts that were held from the year 1883 during the festival of Corpus-Christi. The 65th Edition of the Festival International of music and dance of Granada begins the 17 of June and the last show it can be admired the 8 of July of 2016, as every year the functions occur in the Alhambra.
The festival also immersed in the city and in the monumental spaces, the main squares and corners of the city can enjoy FEX or extension Festival, scheduled between 13 of June and 12 of July 2016, the program is free. During the Festival everyone can see shows of renowned artists from different countries (China, Cyprus, South Korea, U.S.A., France …); and discover the magic of music and dance, whose charm is enhanced by the unique beauty of the city of Granada.
The current Festival also marks 80 years from the death of poet Federico García Lorca and the 400th anniversary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare.

Saturday, June 18: EDx2 of Modern Feeling, Plaza de las Pasiegas, 21.00 and 22.30.
