Do you like poetry and want to share this passion with other people?

The International Poetry Festival returns to Granada! The International Poetry Festival 2021 will be held in Granada from 18 to 22 October. Before the pandemic, this Festival used to be held on a different date, i.e. in May.
However, as the COVID situation seems to be under control, it has been decided to hold this International Poetry Festival now, also taking advantage of the good weather that is still with us.
Due to the pandemic, last year was the first time in 17 years that this international event was not held. For this reason, this edition will present the same programme as in 2020. In fact, the opening will be given by the Cervantes Prize winner Antonio Gamoneda, as was planned for the edition that could not be held.

What is the programme?

This year’s programme, which, as we have anticipated, will be the same as last year’s, will bring us the “García Lorca Prize winner” Yolanda Pantin, the “Goncourt Prize winner” Tahar ben Jelloun and the singer-songwriter Andrés Suárez.
18 October: poetry gala in the Huerta de San Vicente, by the Cervantes Prize winner Antonio Gamoneda and the Venezuelan poet Yolanda Pantin.

  • 19 October: Yolanda Pantin will read her poems at the Palacio de Carlos V, accompanied by the Moroccan poet Tahar Ben Jelloum.
  • 20 October: readings by several famous poets such as the novelist Juan José Millás, Juan José Téllez.
  • 21 October: tribute to the writer Mariluz Escribano, accompanied by a poetic musical performance at the Federico García Lorca Centre by the cantaor Juan Pinilla.
  • 22 October: event at the Palacio de Carlos V with the participation of the singer-songwriter Víctor Manuel and the poet Martín López Vega.

From iNMSOL we recommend you to participate in this internationally renowed and appreciated in all the world cultural event!
