Do you think that in summer the cultural activities of the city are paralyzed? Nothing is further from reality! We’ll talk about the next activities that will be organized by Parque de las Ciencias (Science Park) of Granada. The museum advances its summer plan from July to the end of September for the promotion of cultural, scientific and family learning tourism, in order to strengthen its offer at a regional level.
The presentation of the event was held on 5th July 2019, where the mayor of the city, Luis Salvador, the director of the museum, Ernesto Páramo and Javier Imbroda, Minister of Education and Sports and president, participated, among other authorities of the Park Consortium.
The most visited museum in Andalusia puts its attention on the campaign about the temporary exhibition ‘Play. Ciencia y música’ (‘Play. Science and music’), thanks to which “Guitar FabLab” stands out, a laboratory in which researchers, professionals, artists and citizens invite people to relate to musical art and scientific research. It is the first “FabLab” event about guitar, the most interpreted instrument on the planet: in fact there will be an exhibition of more than 200 instruments and then “maker” activities that include workshops such as ‘Construye tu cajón flamenco’ (‘Build your own flamenco box’).
The campaign also strengthens the diffusion of BioDomo, the “window to life” of Parque de las Ciencias, which is three years old and is a point of reference for research, conservation and environmental education. In the month of July there will be new animal species like white-lipped tamarins, folivores and northern cardinals.
In July, Jordi Gasull, the collector of the most prestigious objects of the space expeditions, will show them for the 50th anniversary of man’s first landing on the Moon in July 1969.
In these months, almost 150,000 visitors are expected to reach the 42% of visitors from outside of Andalusia.
iNMSOL recommends you to participate, since Parque de las Ciencias is an essential destination for those who want to discover the beauty of the city. In addition, it is a good opportunity to meet new animal species and rare and notorious objects, while listening to good music and having fun. Do not miss this incredible experience!
