Every year, in our institute, we receive a lot of students from all over the world, and last week we welcomed a group from Norway that stayed with us from the 10th to the 16th of March 2018 to discover Granada with iNMSOL.
These young students stayed a week in Granada participating in the Spanish lessons in our school in the morning and, in the afternoon, in the many entertaining and cultural activities that we offer.
Excursion to the Costa Tropical
After the arrival in Granada and after accommodating in a hotel in the city centre, the day of the first excursion finally arrived. They left on Sunday morning to go to the Costa Tropical, a small region situated in the South of Granada, to enjoy a beautiful day at the beach.
During the following days, in the mornings from 9.00 to 12.30, the young Norwegian students took part in the Spanish lessons with our teachers in iNMSOL, and in the afternoons they had the possibility to discover Granada’s history and culture attending many activities, such as pottery, dancing and cooking workshops and, among these, they participated in a gastronomic sample to taste the typical products of Spain and, especially, the traditional and well known tapas of Granada.
Visit to Albaicín and Sacromonte
On Wednesday afternoon the group went on a guided tour through the streets of the Albaicín and the Sacromonte, two ancient Arabian quarters from whose viewpoints (miradores) you can enjoy an amazing view of the Alhambra and the whole city.
Visit to the Alhambra
If you come studying in Granada, you can’t leave without having visited the Alhambra, the symbol of our city. For this reason, on Thursday, the group had the whole afternoon to visit this breathtaking monument, remaining enchanted by its beautiful Palacios Nazaríes, getting lost through the Generalife gardens and contemplating the sunset on the city from the Alcazaba.
On Friday the students took part in their last Spanish lesson in our school and in the afternoon they said goodbye to our teachers and left Granada to come back to Norway.
