Sting concert in Granada, July 15th, 2011

The British singer and musician Sting will perform on Friday July 15th at Plaza de Toros in Granada with the symphony orchestra of this city, with which he will perform hits from both his career with The Police as his solo career.
The concert, extending the Symphonicity world tour, has been presented by the Millennium Kingdom of Granada, which co-produces the show and whose manager, Francisca Pleguezuelos, stressed the international significance that the performance of an artist in this category involves, which thus become “ambassador”of the event.

Granada Symphony Orchestra, which will be led by Chelsea Tipson, will accompany Sting in his performance in front of 7,000 spectators, to reinvent the British singer’s hits. The stage will have more than 100,000 watts of sound, 200,000 watts of lighting and two large LED screens.
The singer will perform with a group of musicians among which there are Dominic Miller, for years Sting guitarist, percussionist Rhani Krija, vocalist Jo Lawry and bassist Ira Coleman.
The audience, that will be seated, being a symphony concert, can buy their entrance tickets from April 29 through , RuralTickets and El Corte Inglés, with prices ranging between 35 and 110 euros, plus shipping distribution.
Furthermore, the Millennium Granada, which has an agreement with the Federation of Hotels, is planning to offer packages that include entry and accommodation in the city. Granada is estimated to receive between 3,000 and 4,000 people for this event.
