Granada’s Noche en Blanco 2026

Granada’s Noche en Blanco 2026: Culture Takes Over the City

Granada’s Noche en Blanco is back in town!

Meant to be celebrated on April 22, it had to be cancelled because of the rain. Finally, Granada recovers this celebration on Friday, May 22, 2026. From iNMSOL we tell you how the city centre transforms into a great open-air stage: in it, culture is the absolute protagonist.

What is Noche en Blanco and When it Takes Place

Noche en Blanco is a cultural event that brings music, art, spectacle and outreach to the streets of the city, with the aim of bringing culture closer to all audiences in an open, free and participatory way. Artists, shopkeepers and collaborators join to offer dozens of free activities that promote art, heritage and creativity.

This year, in 2026, is celebrated on Friday, May 22. This time there are no unfavourable weather conditions! The new date promises higher temperatures, with highs of 33 degrees, perfect for enjoying the outdoor party.

A Glimpse into the Historic Centre and the Neighbourhoods

The activities are mainly concentrated in the historic centre of Granada and extend to the city’s most emblematic neighbourhoods:

  • Plaza de las Pasiegas: concerts by the Municipal Band, dance and tango shows
  • Patio del Ayuntamiento and placeta de Cauchiles: choral performances, jazz and blues
  • Paseo del Salón: family activities, rescue demonstrations and exhibition of Firefighters and Civil Protection vehicles, as well as sports exhibitions and participatory circuits
  • Plaza Nueva: outreach activities with the Local Police, including canine unit exhibitions, drone flights and information campaigns
  • Albaicín and Sacromonte: theatrical and cultural routes through the city’s most emblematic places, with oral storytelling and shows
  • Paseo de los Tristes: cultural activities and oral storytelling

In addition, craft markets liven up various points of the historic centre. An influencer commercial route involves shops and businesses in the party. Municipal libraries also participate with activities to make the neighbourhoods feel part of the celebration.

Why Take Part in Noche en Blanco?

It is not just entertainment: it is an event that returns the streets to the citizens, allowing everyone to access Granada’s artistic heritage.

Among tapas, music and cultural and creative activities, Noche en Blanco allows you to discover the city off the beaten tourist track. Granada reminds us that the best cities are not those that preserve the past in a display case, but those that make it breathe in the streets and squares.

If you are in Granada, don’t miss it!
