iNMSOL hosts three groups of students from Switzerland

Since many years, Instituto Mediterráneo Sol, hosts a lot of students’ groups from all over the world, and last week was the turn of three groups of students from Switzerland, who stayed in Granada during the Holy Week, from the 24th to the 29th of March 2018.

The young students had the possibility to be hosted by Spanish families, spending time in their houses, eating and talking together in order to improve their Spanish level. In addition to this, in the morning they attended Spanish lessons at our school.

The groups could also take part in many cultural and entertaining activities that iNMSOL organized for them. A perfect way to get to know Spanish culture and, especially, our beautiful city: Granada.
Besides, being Holy Week period, one of the most important religious festivities in Spain, the students saw how we celebrate this festivity and attended the processions that passed through the city every day, such as the one of the Cristo de los Gitanos.

Some of the other activities we offered them were the guided tours through the city centre and the most known neighborhoods of Granada: the Realejo district, an ancient Jewish neighborhood, the Sacromonte and the Albaicín, an ancient Arabian neighborhood, from whose viewpoints (miradores) you can enjoy an incredible view of the Alhambra and the whole city. But, since it is not enough to see the monument symbol of Granada only from outside, the Swiss students visited also the inside of the Alhambra, admiring the wonderful Palacios Nazaríes, the Alcazaba and the Generalife gardens.

Just like all the Andalusian cities, Córdoba has her charm too. For this reason the young students had the possibility to spend a whole day in this beautiful city, visiting its historical centre, the Jewish neighborhood, the Roman Bridge and the Mezquita-Catedral.

Apart from these visits, iNMSOL offered to the students other cultural activities, such as the attendance to a flamenco show and some lessons of theoretical and practical introduction to the flamenco.

We thank these groups very much for having spent time with us, having visited our beautiful city and having chosen iNMSOL as the school where to study and practice their Spanish.

We hope they will come back and visit us as soon as possible!
