It is a tradition for us to present a small summary of each group that visit us at iNMSOL. We couldn’t miss it with our last Italian group from Potenza, as they have left their mark! We talk about a group of 15 boys and girls from Italy who have lived and studied in Granada during the month of September. A group of brave people who have dared with the Spanish language … for the first time! Yes, as you hear it: their arrival in Granada was the first experience with our language, bravo for them!
They have spent 3 weeks in our city, and have enjoyed a language immersion in the Alternanza Scuola-Lavoro program in Italy. They have enjoyed a Spanish course and numerous activities, we will tell you below!
Intensive Spanish course with specific purposes on tourism
The main activity of your stay has been learning Spanish. iNMSOL has designed for them a special Spanish course for beginners, which has also included topics related to tourism and their professional profiles. Lessons have taken place in the morning, from Monday to Friday, and have been extended with several support sessions in the afternoon. In this course they have also had practical field visits related to tourism, such as visiting the Provincial Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Granada, or visiting the Tourist Office of Granada.
Activities in the city of Granada
In addition to the theory in its Spanish and tourism lessons, our Italian group has enjoyed numerous activities in the city of Granada. These activities have helped them to improve their practice of Spanish and to better understand the culture of the city.
- Guided tours through the most popular neighborhoods in Granada: they have learned about the history of the most important neighborhoods, such as the Realejo, the Albaicín or the Sacromonte.
- Visits to places of architectural interest such as Carmen de los Mártires.
- Assistance to a Flamenco show in a typical cave in the Gypsy neighborhood of Sacromonte.
- Guided visit to the impressive Alhambra and the Generalife, a monument declared Cultural Patrimony of Humanity by UNESCO. This is the essential visit that no visitor can miss, and they loved it!
Excursion outside Granada
Being a three-week stay, this Italian group had time to go on an excursion outside Granada. In this case they chose to go on an excursion to Córdoba, a beautiful city in northern Andalusia. The excursion liked everyone, and they were fascinated to know the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, an Arab mosque historically considered as the second most important temple in the Muslim World.
We said goodbye to the group a few days ago, , at the end of their stay, and the truth is that we miss them so much! I hope they had a good time with us. We hope to see them again at iNMSOL, and we wish you all the best!
