Last week we said goodbye to one of our favorite groups of students. These guys, who are studying in a Liceo of Treviso (Italy), have spent two weeks in Instituto Mediterráneo Sol. They have done many activities during these days, and we have already written about them. It is not the first time they are studying with us in Granada, and hopefully it won’t be the last!
Visit to the Huerta de San Vicente
La Huerta de San Vicente was the summer home of the García Lorca family between 1926 and 1936. Since 1995 it was converted into a house-museum and it is opened to the public. In this place, Federico Garcia Lorca, our most famous poet, wrote some of his most famous works and lived there during the days before his arrest and murder, at the beginning of the Spanish civil war. The students went for a visit to the Huerta de San Vicente, and they learned a lot about the life of Lorca and the importance of this place.
Paella: the most famous Spanish dish
Our students couldn’t miss the opportunity to taste one of the most famous Spanish dishes, the paella. They were all together for “tapas” around the city center of Granada and, although is was not firstly made in Andalusia (it is a Valencian dish), they ended up tasting a delicious paella.
Enjoy!
Graffiti contest in INMSOL
After so many days of workload, their minds needed a rest, so the last day was special and relaxed. Their teachers organized a graffiti contest in INMSOL among all students. It was time to relax, free the mind and capture all that Granada inspires them on paper … and the result was amazing! We have found a few artists among them, and we all had a really fun time. They themselves voted the best three graffiti authors and they won gift from of our director.
