“El gato escaldado, del agua frìa huye” is a typical Spanish proverb, often used in the everyday life, that wants to explain how bad experiences are supposed to teach us a lesson, in order to pay attention when similar situations happen, even if they’re not as dangerous as the one that we have lived yet.
Everyone who suffered for a risky situation is afraid of the reason that make him suffer. This is the second meaning of this saying: a painful experience make us more mistrustful of the world.
Hopefully we learn from all the bad situations we experience, but the truth is man is the only animal who stumbles twice on the same stone.
